Prime Minister: The Government is setting up four funds to restore Ukraine
On commission of the President of Ukraine, the Government embarks on activities to establish four funds with the resources to be allotted to the restoration of Ukraine. This was emphasized by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in a video address on March 3.
"The first is the Destroyed Property and Infrastructure Restoration Fund. We will rebuild everything that was destroyed by the Russian occupiers. Every house, every apartment, every school, every kindergarten and hospital! Every bridge, and road", the Head of the Government emphasized.
The second, according to the Prime Minister, is the Economic Recovery and Transformation Fund. Denys Shmyhal noted that Ukraine would ask its partners to accept the so-called ‘Marshall Plan for Ukraine’. He stressed that our state needs not just to rebuild the economy, but to build a new European country.
"Third. Debt Management and Redemption Fund. Today, despite the war, Ukraine continuously fulfills all its obligations. On March 1, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine made a coupon payment of USD 292 million on Eurobonds. But we believe that the world must help and support Ukraine, understanding the heavy burden on us today," said Denys Shmyhal.
Another fund, according to the Prime Minister, should be the Affected Business Support Fund.
"We all see how many entrepreneurs and companies help our military, doctors and ordinary Ukrainians today. We are all united for a common goal - to chase off the enemy from our land. And we understand that our task is to help entrepreneurs return to normal business, normal life," the Prime Minister summed up.
