State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) Sergiy Savchuk emphasized in his
opening address to the Renewable Energy Forum '17 on November 30 in Kyiv that
Ukraine closely works with the world leading countries to attract investment in
renewable energy sector.
"Over
the past 3 years, we have initiated significant amendments to the legislation
in order to ensure that investors can promptly and reliably return funds
invested in" green "projects. As a result, since 2014, we have
attracted 800 million euros in "clean" projects. Furthermore, we
continue to work on the financing of projects in this area. For this end SAEE
collaborates with authorities of many world countries, in particular: Germany,
Denmark, Finland, and Canada", the Chairman stressed.
"In
the short term, the establishment of cooperation with China and the United
States is being planned. Experiences, technologies and investment of the
leading countries of the world are enormous contributions to the development of
the domestic market of "green" projects", Sergiy
Savchuk underlined.
In his
opening remarks he announced important news. On November 29, the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Finland and The Nordic Environment Finance Corporation
(NEFCO) signed an agreement on the creation of 6 million euros fund to finance
