The Government will champion the course to rebuild the state apparatus and, simultaneously with refresh of cadres in the ministries and departments will prolong monitoring over administrative decisions and actions of the authorities in the framework of a joint Government and civic initiative Together Against Corruption (TAC). Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman was quoted as saying at the Government session Wednesday.
"We are
talking about the restructuring of the quality of the state apparatus. To this
end, we have already embarked on the civil service reform, and the competitions
to fill the posts are underway to engage more specialists to the management of
the state. Another significant issue for us is to have transparency within the
Government. And here at our disposal is the established together with civil
society Together Against Corruption Initiative.
The Head of
Government reminded that among the directions of joint activities within
the framework of the aforesaid initiative is overcoming of abuses in the fiscal
sector and within the controlling bodies. In order to work out the necessary
decisions in September, there took place an enlarged meeting with business with
participation of the President of Ukraine, top officials of the Government, the
General Prosecutor's Office and representatives of major enterprises of
Ukraine. During the meeting, the Prime Minister underlined, several proposals
were promptly announced, in particular the formation of a final version of the
draft law on the Financial Intelligence Service. The Verkhovna Rada Committee
on Tax and Customs Policy coordinates the work on drafting the bill.
"And in
general, I appeal to the Ministers to analyze the results of the conducted monitoring
under the Together Against Corruption Initiative and draw
conclusions", the Head of Government urged.
