«I am very
delighted to note that National
Technical University of Ukraine «Igor
Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» (NTUU
«KPI») is the backbone of engineering
sciences in Ukraine. When we
talk about the development of the economy,
hence we understand that development and the history of
the humanities are essential, but without
technical specialties, unfortunately, the development is impossible»,
stressed Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional
Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities
of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko during the meeting
with first-year students of the
NTUU «KPI.
«The world is
moving forward, thus we already
see how artificial
intelligence is being developed, robot hands
are being invented. It is of utmost
importance that our Ukrainians, experienced technical young people be
leaders in this process», Hennadii Zubko claimed.
He recalled that
last year Ukrainian IT team topped the world
ranking of “white hat” hackers,
thereby they won in competition
with over 12,000 teams from around
the world.
«Today it
is essential to ensure the
state support for our technical
elite. Therefore, we are talking
about an increase in wages
next year, raising standards and increasing funding for technical
science in polytechnics», he underlined.
During delivering his
speech, the Vice Prime Minister
wished the freshmen peace, well-being and health.
