Volodymyr Groysman urges to put aside political flags in order to adopt pension reform
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called on all political forces to put aside
political flags as well as slogans and to consolidate efforts in order to adopt
the pension reform, which is designed for the benefit of Ukrainian retirees.
Thus, the adoption of the said reform will allow to raise
retirement payments to 9 million pensioners already from October 1, and in the
medium term, to ensure a deficit-free budget of the Pension Fund. This was
stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on the air of one of the
TV channels on Sunday, July 9.
«This reform is awaited by the pensioners who have worked all their
lives, but receive only the minimum pension today», emphasized the Head of Government,
adding that it is of utmost importance to assume responsibility, regardless of
political affiliation and to adopt landmark decisions.
The Prime Minister stressed that the development of a fair pension
system, in case of adoption of changes, will take place for the first time and
also added that it is vital to end with political slogans which have been
existed for 25 years once and for all in order to build a strong and prosperous
country.
