Yulia Svyrydenko participates in the economic block of consultations on Ukraine's recovery
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, together with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka and Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Oleksii Sobolev, participated in the economic block of consultations with national security advisers from 15 partner countries, the European Council, the European Commission, and NATO, which was also joined online by U.S. President's adviser and special envoy Steve Witkoff.
"Together with our European and American partners, we are working on the Ukraine Prosperity Plan, a joint long-term program of Ukraine, the United States, the European Union, and G7 countries aimed at post-war recovery and sustainable economic growth in a ten-year timeframe. According to our estimates, Ukraine’s needs under this plan amount to USD 800 billion. We aim to mobilize these resources through public capital, grants and loans, as well as private investment in infrastructure, energy, industry, and human capital development.”
The plan offers a comprehensive set of tools for reconstruction, economic transformation, and modernization, including guarantees, risk-sharing mechanisms, and dedicated investment platforms and funds.
"We share a common understanding with all partners that Ukraine’s accession to the EU is a cornerstone of our economic development. The foundation of this effort will be the reforms Ukraine is implementing as part of its European integration. At the same time, sustainable economic prosperity is impossible without effective security guarantees for Ukraine,” the Head of Government noted.
The meeting participants agreed to continue their work and to examine in detail the sources for implementing the economic plan over the coming weeks in meetings in European capitals.
