Yulia Svyrydenko: Another 9,000 families to receive compensation for repairing homes damaged by russian aggression
A further 9,000 Ukrainian families will receive compensation to repair homes damaged as a result of russian aggression, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko has announced.
“Today the Government is allocating UAH 609 million to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development to fund the eVidnovlennia programme. This money will enable families to repair their homes. We are consistently restoring housing destroyed by the war and expanding the possibilities of the eVidnovlennia programme so that assistance reaches people faster,” the Head of Government said.
Today the Government also simplified the procedure for obtaining compensation under eVidnovlennia for jointly owned property. Now, if one of the co-owners has left, cannot be contacted, or does not participate in maintaining the property, this will no longer block the receipt of assistance. Another co-owner will be able to apply for the compensation through a simplified procedure without unnecessary delays.
“This decision will allow people to start repairing their damaged homes and return them to use more quickly, even in situations where it was impossible to obtain the consent of all co-owners,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko.
In total, under the eVidnovlennia programme, more than 116,000 families have already received compensation for restoring damaged housing.
