Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting to coordinate the efforts of relevant agencies to restore vital infrastructure in Sumy region after russian attacks

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, on the instructions of the President, visited the Sumy region, which remains blacked out after russian shelling. 

The Head of the Government summoned a meeting to coordinate the actions of the Ministry of Energy, Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, State Emergency Service, National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, Naftogaz, and Sumy Regional State Administration. 

“The task is to restore power to communities as quickly as possible after russian attacks. Coordination and oversight of the process are assigned to the Ministry of Energy,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko. 

According to her, to restore electricity and gas supplies, specialists are providing all necessary equipment from reserves for the rapid replacement of damaged infrastructure and reconnection of households. 

The Ministry of Digital Transformation is working with mobile operators to restore network connectivity, with updates expected in the coming hours. 

Additionally, Points of Invincibility (emergency support centers) have been deployed. 

The Prime Minister reported that the Government team had inspected the site of yesterday’s attack on a passenger train in Shostka. 

Yulia Svyrydenko expressed condolences to the family of the victim killed during this attack. 

“The damage is already being repaired. I thank the railway workers for their courage. The Ukrzaliznytsia team is updating train routes to avoid dangerous frontline areas,” noted the Prime Minister.
