Government increases additional payments for teachers in frontline areas to UAH 4,000

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has exceeded the monthly supplement for working in challenging conditions for teachers who carry activities in an offline or a hybrid format in schools located in frontline areas. 

The payment amount will increase from UAH 2,000 to UAH 4,000 (UAH 5,200 before taxes paid) and depends on the workload. For teachers working beyond the standard workload, the payment will increase proportionally.

The supplement will be accrued starting from September 1, 2025. Teachers are expected to receive the payment in October for two months. 

An additional UAH 372.3 million has been allocated from the State Budget to ensure this payment made until the end of the current year.

Who is eligible to receive the increased payment? 

The supplement will be provided to teachers from 84 territorial communities in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. 

A total of 25,735 pedagogical workers (equivalent to 29,342.3 full-time positions) will receive the benefit.
