Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko presented awards to housing and utilities sector workers who ensure the stable operation of community infrastructure during wartime.

The awards were given to 44 utility workers from the Donetsk, Kherson, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions, as well as the capital.

According to the Head of Government, these are the people without whom the resilience of Ukrainian cities and communities would be unimaginable. Every day, they repair networks, restore water, heat, and gas supplies, work at our thermal power plants, eliminate the consequences of russian strikes, and continue to ensure the functioning of cities and villages, including in frontline regions under constant shelling.

The Prime Minister extended special thanks to utility workers from other regions who came to help repair the capital’s utility networks and restore its infrastructure: “It was this support that helped us get through the most difficult winter since the full-scale invasion began. Thank you today and every single day.”

In addition, the Government continues to support repair crews helping to restore energy infrastructure. Over 7,000 utility workers are receiving additional payments of UAH 20,000 for February. Similar bonuses are also planned for March.

“Thank you to all utility workers for your dedicated work and professionalism. Thanks to you, life in our communities continues, despite all the challenges,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
