Government allocates UAH 3 billion for urgent repairs to national highways
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate UAH 3 billion from the state budget reserve fund to carry out urgent ongoing repair and maintenance works on public highways of national importance that carry high traffic volumes.
The funds will be directed to the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine to perform priority works on damaged sections of the transport network that ensure the movement of passengers and freight and the functioning of key logistics routes.
The financing is intended for works across 22 regions of Ukraine.
“Maintaining roads in proper condition is critically important for the country’s economy and security. The allocated funding will enable priority works to be carried out and ensure stable transport links,” said Vitaliy Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.
