Government distributes UAH 12.6 billion for road repair and maintenance in 2026
The Government has distributed UAH 12.6 billion provided for in the 2026 State Budget for the repair and maintenance of public roads. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, UAH 4.6 billion of this amount will be directed specifically to current repair works.
“Additionally, we are allocating UAH 3 billion from the state budget’s reserve fund for urgent current repairs of national roads with high traffic intensity,” the Head of Government said.
The Prime Minister noted that the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, together with the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development, has been tasked with significantly accelerating the pace of road works.
Current repairs on international highways are to be completed by 1 May. All major works are planned to be completed by 1 June 2026.
