Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting with operators in the fuel market, attended by representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, Ministry of Energy, the Antimonopoly Committee, and the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. Participants in the meeting coordinated issues related to supplying Ukrainian gas stations with resources.

“Our goal is to ensure fuel for all consumers. The uninterrupted supply of gasoline to the Defense Forces, emergency services, and agricultural producers in connection with the start of the planting season remains an absolute priority,” the Head of Government emphasized.

During the event, representatives of the largest petrol station chains provided information on fuel reserves and foreign supplies scheduled for April. As of now, the market is sufficiently supplied with fuel, and the rush is subsiding.

The state-owned company “Ukrnafta,” part of the Naftogaz Group, continues to set benchmark prices for gasoline and diesel for the market, taking into account global changes due to the situation in the Middle East.

Yulia Svyrydenko instructed the leadership of the Antimonopoly Committee and the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection to continue monitoring price levels in the Ukrainian market and to respond as necessary in the event of violations, without hindering business operations.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister, further joint steps to stabilize the market situation have been agreed upon with the heads of key operators.

“In addition, the Government is preparing new targeted programs to support people amid rising global oil prices. This includes a one-time payment of UAH 1,500 for the most vulnerable groups of citizens and fuel cashback under the National Cashback program,” Yulia Svyrydenko said.
