Ukraine is ready for the new academic year and introduces new quality of education as a far-reaching reform, the results of which will be felt in 12 years. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
"We begin a difficult but necessary process of implementing a New Ukrainian School. We introduced new standards and allocated a sum worth UAH 1 billion for updating the elementary school. That's never happened before. We prepared teachers under new programs. The process has begun. Today we are laying the foundations for a new quality of education", the Head of the Government said.
Moreover, the Prime Minister stressed that together with standards of teaching, the attitude to the teacher changes - especially in the context of remuneration.
"For several years now, we have been working to increase the salaries of teachers. And we understand that work must continue", Volodymyr Groysman added.

448,578 children will go to the first grade this year. Leaders in the number of first-graders are Dnipropetrovsk region – 38,143 children, Kyiv region - 33, 247 children and Lviv region - 30,297 children.
