On October 21, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved 17 documents necessary to ensure the implementation of the decisions of the EU-Ukraine Summit and preparation for the meeting of the Association Council, scheduled for December 8, 2020.

"Today we have adopted two important bills - on multimodal transportation and public consultations. We continue to work to approximate the law of Ukraine to the Customs Code of the European Union, and have also approved technical regulations on cryptographic protection of information necessary for Ukraine’s integration into the EU digital market," said Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna.

In addition, the Government decided to continue the work of the EU Border Assistance Mission in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova (EUBAM). Due to this, the modernization of the customs and border service of Ukraine will prolong, the fight against customs offenses and smuggling will be intensified, and European standards for integrated border management will be introduced.

"The decisions we have taken today will significantly improve the implementation of the Association Agreement. There are areas where we lagged behind in previous years, and today progress has reached 80-90%. This means that coordinated and systematic work in previous months is already yielding results. Of course, all this is fixed at the level of high political agreements," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
