The Government has approved draft laws to expand the deregulation process. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Cabinet on 21 May.

According to him, the first draft law provides for the cancellation of 63 permits and approvals in the areas of medicine, environment, water and forestry, agriculture, energy, foreign economic activity, education and culture.

The second document, as noted by Denys Shmyhal, amends the Code of Administrative Offences, cancelling liability for the absence of permits, the cancellation of which is provided for in the first draft law.

“We hope that the Verkhovna Rada will adopt these legislative acts as soon as possible,” the Prime Minister said.

He emphasised that to date, the Government had cancelled more than 1,900 regulatory acts in various areas.

“A significant part of the licensing processes has been digitised. It is now possible to obtain a permit in a matter of minutes,” said Denys Shmyhal.
