Government appoints acting Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in coordination with the President of Ukraine, has appointed Yevhenii Khmara as Acting Minister of Defence and Andrii Sybiha as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi.
“It is important to ensure continuity in the work of the defence and foreign policy sectors,” the Prime Minister stressed.
The Cabinet of Ministers has also begun reorganising the structure of central executive authorities in line with decisions adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.
In particular, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine is being re-established, while a separate Ministry for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons is being created.
The Government is also redistributing responsibilities among ministries by separating the areas of the economy, the environment, and recovery, as well as infrastructure and transport.
