Ukraine counts to join future EU investments for Eastern Partnership countries, says Denys Shmyhal
The prospect of a "new Eastern Partnership" is 17 billion euros, which the European Union will allocate in the next 7 years, in particular for Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in an interview with the DOM TV channel.
"Ukraine expects to take part in these investments. Europe hears our voice much better when we are united with Georgia and Moldova. When we have Association Agreements and move together towards European integration," said Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Prime Minister, within various initiatives, 2.3 billion euros will be disbursed to the Eastern Partnership countries directly by the EU, the remaining amount – the resources that will be allocated by international financial organizations and funds raised through public-private and interstate partnerships.
On November 30, during a working visit to Brussels as part of the Associated Trio initiative, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilița held a series of meetings with the leadership of the European Union.
