Ukrainian and British hospitals begin cooperation within the framework of international medical partnership initiative
The Kirovohrad Regional Hospital and the British clinic Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have signed a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of the International Medical Partnership, an initiative of Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska aimed at developing sustainable ties between Ukrainian medical institutions and their partners abroad.
The partnership covers three areas: anaesthesiology and emergency medicine, surgery and traumatology, as well as perinatology and neonatology. In particular, the parties will work to improve the treatment protocols for patients with severe injuries, apply modern protocols in emergency rooms, improve the diagnosis and treatment of sepsis, and develop methods to provide emergency care.
In the field of surgery and traumatology, the main focus will be on the development of modern minimally invasive methods, early detection of serious conditions, effective treatment of injuries, updating clinical protocols and approaches to the treatment of complicated wounds.
There are also plans for joint work in the field of perinatology and neonatology on the management of complex cases during pregnancy. Particular attention will be paid to the development of neonatal intensive care, in particular the treatment of infections, acute kidney injury, the use of therapeutic hypothermia and modern gynaecological interventions.
Cooperation between Ukrainian and British institutions will enable medical teams to exchange experience, implement modern clinical practices and improve the quality of medical care for patients.
