  • Establishment of the Ukrainian-Polish Centre for prosthetics for veterans: first results

The implementation of the project of the Ukrainian-Polish Centre for prosthetics and rehabilitation for veterans was discussed at a special meeting chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

Now, in addition to discussing the concept of the project to create a Ukrainian-Polish prosthetics and rehabilitation centre, the search for premises is underway.

The possibility of locating such a centre in the premises of the Borodyanka Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation is being considered. However, this would require an increase in the number of beds.

In the future, such a centre could become a national institution with branches throughout Ukraine.

An expert assessment is expected from the Polish side on the possibility of locating it in the Borodyanka Centre.

As a reminder, the modern prosthetics and rehabilitation centre in Ukraine is being created by representatives of the Polish company EnForce Medical Technologies and the Poland Helps Ukraine, Siepomaga and Solidarity Fund foundations with the support of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

The centre will provide people with prosthetics, rehabilitation, etc. In addition, the centre is planning to organise the production of prostheses.
