  • Stepan Kubiv: Small privatization has already earned over UAH 870 million for the state since its launch

    April 8, First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv during a joint press conference with First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Maxym Nefiodov, told about the results of privatization as an element of the state property reform in Ukraine in 2016-2018.

    "Small privatization offers new opportunities for business. In 2015, the State Property Fund sold 109 facilities of former so-called A, D privatization groups to the tune of just over UAH 45 million. At the same time, since August 2018, when we launched Prozorro.Sale, that is, in 8 months, the State Property Fund managed to sell 366 similar, not very appealing facilities to the tune of UAH 376 million", said the First Deputy Prime Minister.

    Stepan Kubiv added that the basis of the success of the results of operation of the Prozorto.Sales electronic system are the characteristics of the system itself - transparency, accessibility, encouraging high competition among the bidders.

    "Small privatization, in general, has already earned for the state over UAH 870 million. There were conducted 748 successful auctions. The average price increase for privatization objects was 69%", said Stepan Kubiv.

    The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that among the local authorities, the most successful auctions had been held by the Lviv municipal council, the village of Lanna in Poltava region and the Pokrov municipal council in Dnipropetrovsk region.
