April 8, First Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv during a joint press conference with First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Maxym Nefiodov reported on the results of the public procurement reform in 2016-2018.
"The start of compulsory use of the Prozorro in August 2016 has become one of the most significant qualitative changes in the economy over the 3 years. Due to Prozorro, the trade with the state has become really convenient, reliable and, most importantly, profitable. We can see that business has felt the benefits of working through Prozorro, and from 2016 the amount of companies that sell their goods and services to the state through the system has more than doubled - from 65,000 to 148,000", said Stepan Kubiv, reporting on the results public procurement reform.
Besides, in 2016 the level of savings in public procurements through Prozorro amounted to more than UAH 12 billion, while already in 2018 this figure reached the level of over UAH 29 billion. Also, in 2016, about 20,000 organizers of bidding were registered in the system, while in 2018 this figure was almost 28,000.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also noted that Prozorro electronic public procurement system has repeatedly proven itself as an efficient, well-structured platform with highly developed analytical tools set that can be quickly adapted and effectively used in various spheres of the economy, even in the most technologically and innovatively complicated.
