Stepan Kubiv commissioned to establish a working group to tackle the situation in the tourism market
July 4, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine/ Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv chaired a meeting on the settlement of the situation in the market of tourism services.
It is important to note that due to commercial misunderstandings between tour operators and airline companies Ukrainian citizens receive poor service quality. At the same time, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade within the framework of the current legislation is deprived of effective instruments of influence on the players of the tourist market.
In this regard, the First Vice Prime Minister instructed to create the working group that will shape proposals for amendments to the current legislation, in the following sectors:
strengthening of licensing requirements for tour operator activities;
creation of an effective mechanism for the implementation of legal liability of tour operators to tourists;
increase in the size of financial support of tour operators;
establishment of administrative responsibility of tourism entities for violation of legislation in the field of tourism and others.
