The education reform, which is considered to be one of the key Government’s reforms, is a long-term process, the results of which will be felt only in 10-12 years. But the responsibility for the future of children, their success and competitiveness is today’s issue. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during the Government sitting.

"The educational process must begin with pre-school education. This should be unified system - competitive, modern and flexible. We are laying the foundation for changes and we have a shared responsibility for its implementation," Volodymyr Groysman claimed.

In this context, he stressed that more than UAH 1 billion in budget funds was allocated for updating the elementary school. But the level of  utilization of the funds is hardly more than half.

"We need to feel our responsibility for the success of children. We do not have the right to take away the only opportunity for them  to receive a high-quality education. I emphasize: by 2020, the Government's task regarding access to kindergartens, updating programs and equipping schools should be fulfilled ", the Prime Minister claimed.

At the same time, the Head of the Government drew attention to the fact that the school "is not only walls, school desks and programs, but also a teacher who needs to be respected."

"Over the next 10 years, Ukraine has to become a state with a high quality  education, when we not only  teach children, but also disseminate the gained experience", the Prime Minister added.
