The "Ukraine without smuggling" campaign rolled out by the Government, which combines efforts of different authorities responsible for establishing transparency at the state border, is a hard struggle, but its results can be seen in state budget revenue. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a Government session. In the framework of the sitting, the acting Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine presented interim results of anti-smuggling activities. Thus, according to SFS Chairman, the growth of customs payments in only two months of the year - from June to August - increased by UAH 12.6 billion compared to the same period of the last year. And since the beginning of the year, a total volume of customs grew by more than UAH 50 billion. We countering both public and non-public
" I thank for your consolidated efforts, that we have united and started the fight. This is an uphill battle. We are opposing both public and non-public resistance. The clans who are controlling smuggling have billions and allocate these billions against us. We are making more enemies, but they are not personal enemies, but the enemies of the state. Thus, we have to continue our work", the Head of the Government claimed.
He stressed that at present, there is a need for comprehensive support - both from the public and from the part of the honest entrepreneurs.
"For the first time, we really began to tighten the screws on (smugglers). This is a matter of the state and honor. The resources that will be obtained from the liquidation of the gray schemes, each hryvnia will be given to educators, doctors, troops, will be invested in energy efficiency, in roads, in quality of life. It is important not to fall into the trap of provocations", Volodymyr Groysman noted.
The Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that de-shadowing methods allowed to attract hundreds of millions of hryvnias.
"We must believe that even a small group of people is capable of striking changes, and we can not allow someone to bring to naught our fight against gray imports and smuggling. Our country is losing enormous resources because of various shadow schemes. To be involved in this (robbery) is immoral", the Prime Minister claimed.
The Head of the Government informed that the State Fiscal Service and the Ministry of Finance are currently shaping a program to further improve the work of the customs and fiscal services as a whole. He is convinced that these changes, which certainly be put into practice, will not be "fake", but real.
