
Prime Minister: Export Credit Agency will help Ukrainian companies promote products abroad
The Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal got acquainted with the activities of JSC "Turboatom" during a working trip to Kharkiv region on August 13.
The Prime Minister chaired a meeting to tackle topical issues of development of domestic power engineering, in particular, the flagships of the industry - "Turboatom" and "Electrovazhmash", and their participation in the modernization of the Ukrainian power industry. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Uruskyy, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii, acting Minister of Energy Olha Buslavets, MPs, representatives of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and energy companies.
Denys Shmyhal stressed that the issue of accelerating the recovery of Ukrainian industry is always on the agenda of the Government.
"We demonstrate remarkable progress. Over the past month, we have established a Ministry for Strategic Industries and appointed a Deputy Prime Minister. The next steps will be to reform the industry as a whole," the Prime Minister said.
The Head of Government emphasized that both the new ministry and the Government would exert every effort to facilitate Ukrainian machine-building companies receive new export contracts.
"We will actively use the Export Credit Agency, which will help companies promote their products abroad and enter new markets. Thus, it will enhance economic growth and stimulate domestic demand," said Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Prime Minister, the Government will also elaborate legislative proposals that will allow Ukrainian producers to gain simplified access to credit resources.
Finally, Denys Shmygal thanked the Turboatom team for their work, noting the significant role of the company in world production.
"Once again I got convinced that the products of Ukrainian enterprises can compete effectively in the world market. It is a great advantage for Ukraine to have such a manufacturer. Therefore, it is a state matter to lend a hand and provide the necessary support," the Prime Minister summed up.
