Over 160 families of internally displaced persons with combatant status, who were forced to leave the temporarily occupied territories (TOT), have already finalised deals and purchased new homes thanks to the opportunity to apply for funds under the eVidnovlennia programme. 860 agreements more have been signed and are currently awaiting the transfer of funds. Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

“Housing vouchers have been used in 14 regions of Ukraine. The highest amounts are registered in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions, and Kyiv city,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko.

Over 91% of the properties purchased are flats, with a further 8% being private houses. Almost 87% of the housing was purchased on the secondary market. Housing vouchers allow families to choose accommodation according to their needs. The voucher enables them to buy a flat or house, or to invest in construction.

At this stage of funding, housing vouchers worth UAH 2 million have been reserved for nearly 3,300 families. The total amount of support is UAH 6.59 billion.

Citizens who have received confirmation of their voucher funds being reserved now have 60 days to sign a property purchase agreement with any notary.

If the reserved funds are not used within 60 days, they are returned to the programme operator’s account and allocated to the next applicants in the queue. In such cases, the applicant may reapply and rejoin the queue to receive compensation.
