Over 45 services for IDPs are available on a single portal, says Denys Ulyutin
Internally displaced persons can receive state support in various areas, including financial assistance, housing, employment, as well as medical and social services. From now on, all relevant services and support for IDPs, along with the procedures for obtaining assistance, are available on the website https://vpo.gov.ua/.
This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, Denys Uliutin, during the ‘Together Towards Solutions’ meeting and dialogue between IDPs and the authorities, which took place today in Odesa at the initiative of the NGO ‘IDPs of Ukraine’.
“Support for internally displaced persons is the focus of the Government’s activities. The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity has finalised a Strategy designed to address a number of problematic issues, in particular regarding the provision of housing for IDPs,” emphasised Denys Uliutin.
The Minister added that internally displaced persons who previously had not received living allowances due to exceeding the income threshold can now reapply for payments. This has become possible following an update to the income criteria.
As a reminder, the Ministry has expanded the categories of recipients of living allowances so that, regardless of family income, children of IDPs receive monthly payments.
