Together with foreign partners, the Government is working on the development of an Economy of the Future strategy for Ukraine based on analytical data from the World Bank. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

“We presented the Government’s vision for implementing this strategy to participants of the international advisory business council, whose meeting was chaired by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy,” the Head of Government noted.

According to her, the strategy is founded on EU rules – above all, the development of a competitive and investment-attractive economy with strong institutions and dynamic private sector growth. It covers the development of defence technologies, energy, the agricultural sector, transport, mechanical engineering, IT, and critical minerals.

“We have an ambitious yet achievable goal – to increase average annual GDP growth to 6%, labour productivity from the current 1.3% to 5%, and the share of investment in GDP from the pre-war level of 16% to 24–30% annually,” Yulia Svyrydenko stressed.

The Prime Minister also announced that the Government is moving to the next stage – selecting flagship investment projects under the Economy of the Future initiative, which will be presented to partners at Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk.
