Poland stands ready to share its experience with Ukraine in the implementation of European legislation and the development of the nature reserve fund
Svitlana Grynchuk, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, and Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, agreed to deepen cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian experts in the field of European integration on the sidelines of the Informal Meeting of the EU Ministers of Environment and Climate.
According to Ms Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Poland is ready to share with Ukraine its best practices and important elements of adaptation of environmental legislation, as well as to pass screening sessions with the European Commission under Title 27 "Environment and Climate Change". After all, a country that has already passed this path to the EU knows better than anyone how long it takes to implement changes in practice and which issues are the most complex and will require increased attention. Therefore, the parties agreed to organise relevant sectoral working meetings at the level of Ukrainian and Polish experts.
In addition, the experience of Polish colleagues in managing parks and reserves, implementing financing instruments for environmental initiatives and projects, and engaging international partners is valuable for Ukraine.
"I am grateful to Ms Paulina Hennig-Kloska for a meaningful dialogue. I am grateful to Poland, as the EU Council Presidency, for its support and invitation to the Informal Meeting of EU Environment and Climate Ministers," Svitlana Grynchuk said.
