Last year, the rate of use of funds from the State Regional Development Fund by communities was a record in the history of the fund. It is about 96.5%, which is more than 300 important projects throughout Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister for Communities and Territoresl Development Oleksii Chernyshov in his column with the Ukrayinska Pravda edition.

"The State Regional Development Fund is an instrument that clearly demonstrates the support of the regions by the state. Communities are actively using this resource and last year's record figures confirm this. The activity increases year by year. In the near future, we plan that the SRDF will be 1.5% (and later - 2%) of the state budget," stressed Oleksii Chernyshov.

The Minister for Communities and Territories Development also stressed that important for the fund are projects that create added value, new jobs, accumulate taxes to community budgets and attract investment.

It should be noted that the State Regional Development Strategy until 2027 provides for increasing the competitiveness of regions. It is planned to expand the practice of creating Creative Economy Development Centers, even in small towns. The establishment of such centers will be financed, including by the State Regional Development Fund in 2022.

As was reported, earlier the Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov stressed that in 2022 communities would receive record support from the state for development and building of infrastructure.
