Stable growth of coal reserves in thermal generation storages prolongs. Currenty they amount to 841,000 tons. This was announced by the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko at a briefing on the current state of the passage of the heating season on February 10.

"Since November, 15 ships with thermal coal have arrived in Ukraine. During February-March, 8 more vessels with a total coal volume of about 700,000 tons are planned to arrive," he stressed.

According to the Minister, there is a tendency to reduce gas consumption. In the first week of February this year, gas offtake from underground storage facilities amounted to 350 million cubic meters of gas, which is twice less than in the similar period last year.
