Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 9, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 41,694 (3,486 children out of this number, 1,101 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 30,925,212 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,520,587 people have been vaccinated. On February 9, 2022, 70,678 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 12,384 – CoronaVac vaccine, 53,292 – Comirnaty vaccine, 969 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 4,033.

Vaccination was carried out by 892 mobile immunization teams, 3,299 vaccination points and 426 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4,128 persons, 280 patients died, 16,628 persons recovered. There have been conducted 157,551 testings (84,520 using the PCR method, 6,962 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 66,069).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 4,421,741 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,729,976 people recovered;
  • 102,167 people died;
  • 18,842,668 testings have been conducted.
