Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 4, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 9,846 (918 children out of this number, 207 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,062, 838 vaccines have been made.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 7,242,115. On October 4, 2021, 100,331 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 29,480 - CoronaVac vaccine, 55,395 – Comirnaty vaccine, 15,456 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 24,406.

Vaccination was carried out by 831 mobile immunization teams, 2,925 vaccination points and 339 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,881 persons, 317 patients died, 4,229 persons recovered. There have been conducted 74,125 testings (37,080 using the PCR method, 8,762 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 28,283).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,469,856 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,268,752 people recovered;
  • 57,206 people died;
  • 13,003,972 testings have been conducted.
