Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 29,2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 749 (55 children out of this number, 8 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 8,931,640 people have been vaccinated.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 5,308,727. On August 29, 2021, 41,477 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 8,052 - CoronaVac vaccine, 14,501 – Comirnaty vaccine, 3,235 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 15,689.

Vaccination was carried out by 304 mobile immunization teams, 1,100 vaccination points and 354 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 583 persons, 18 patients died, 291 persons recovered. There have been conducted 18,658 testings (9,617 using the PCR method, 1,650 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 7,391).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,284,940 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,206,683 people recovered;
  • 53,738 people died;
  • 11,968,965 testings have been conducted.
