Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of June 8, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,602 (95 children out of this number, 94 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 1,436,285 people have been vaccinated.

On June 8, 2021, 48,16people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 660 people got CoviShield vaccine, 21,652 – CoronaVac vaccine, 25,029 – Comirnaty vaccine, 820 – AstraZeneka, Janssen - 0.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 483 persons, 118 patients died, 6,751 persons recovered. There have been conducted 57,556 testings (33,355 using the PCR method, 10,821 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 13,380).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

2,216,654 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

2,101,722 people recovered;

51,333 people died;

10,380,233 testing have been conducted.
