Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 5, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,576 (103 children out of this number, 30 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 348,551.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 759,434 people have been vaccinated. On May 5, 2021, 3,425 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 90 people got CoviShield vaccine, 357 – CoronaVac vaccine, 468 – Comirnaty vaccine, 2,510 - AstraZeneka.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,671 persons, 161 patients died, 7,728 persons recovered. There have been conducted 29,154 testings (19,206 using the PCR method, 4,071 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 5,877).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 2,090,986 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 1,697,358 people recovered;
- 45,077 people died;
- 9,518,164 testings have been conducted.
