Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 5, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 10,179 (431 children out of this number, 152 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 369, 162.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 291,824 people have been vaccinated, of whom 291,822 have received 1 dose, and 2 persons have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).
On April 4, 2021, 1,258 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 1,258 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 person.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,275 persons, 254 patients died, 4,946 persons recovered. There have been conducted 34,666 testings (21,963 using the PCR method, 4,574 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 8,129).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 1,755,888 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 1,352,139 people recovered;
- 34,578 people died;
- 8,356,074 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
