The Government has announced an open competition for 25 A category civil service posts. More than 400 candidates have applied for 17 vacancies. The competitive selection process has been launched in a number of vacancies.

“The refresh of the civil service is underway. We want to bring to the top positions the best professionals in the country. For this purpose we have simplified the competition procedure - reduced paperwork, henceforth submission of documents for category "A" is only online - through the portal career.gov.ua", emphasizes Dmytro Dubilet, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The official added that the Government was planning to streamline the list of documents to be submitted by the candidate in the near future.

Candidates for top civil service positions are tested for foreign language skills, Ukrainian law, analytical skills and verbal thinking. In addition, the selection participants solve situational tasks and have job interviews.

The Senior Civil Service Commission offers a shortlist of 5 candidates with the highest total score for the final interview. For maximum transparency, each selection stage is video-recorded.

“The positions we have launched competitions for are a serious challenge. It will not be easy, because almost every authority requires cardinal change. But it's rather an exciting challenge, believe me. We can see that there are a lot of cool and ambitious professionals coming to the competition,” the Minister stressed.
