Today, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk held a meeting on the results of work of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre.
In the short term, new information layers were added to the cadastral map - "Unregistered Lands", "Forests", "Nature Reserve Fund".
In addition, a draft law On the National Geospatial Data Infrastructure was introduced, stipulating for the provision of free access to information on open data principle. Moreover, a single window for natural resource management, budget savings and territorial development will be created. This will enable strengthening public control over the activities of the State and increasing the credibility of the government among the society.
It is estimated that the National Spatial Data Infrastructure will contribute to additional GDP growth of 0.2-0.6%.
"We have just started setting things in order in all the cadastres, most of which we are creating from scratch. An open State Land Cadastre should be operational in the near future, and data from new information layers should cover the whole territory of Ukraine. So we are actively working,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
According to him, a unified system of national cadastres will allow for effective management of natural resources, in particular, to stop duplication of duties of different agencies.
Finally, the Head of Government commissioned the specialists to develop orthophotomaps and a digital topographic map of Ukraine.
What is plotted on the map?
- Forests (the territory of Vinnytsia region - other regions will be charted in sequence);
- Nature Reserve Fund (125 objects of national importance);
- Unregistered Lands (covers the entire territory of Ukraine).
