Oleksii Kuleba: Over 16 million square meters of road cover have been repaired since the year's start
Repairs and maintenance work on national highways are ongoing in all regions of Ukraine.
Priority remains on highways that are of strategic importance for the country’s defense, the functioning of communities, and uninterrupted transportation links. Since the beginning of the year, over 16 million square meters of road surface have already been repaired. Road services are working taking into account safety requirements and traffic volume.
In the last 24 hours alone, over 90,000 square meters of roads have been repaired. Work is ongoing on roads of international, national, and regional importance.
“Safe and high-quality roads are essential for logistics, economic stability, and the country’s defense capabilities. We are continuing to carry out road repairs to ensure uninterrupted transportation links between regions and the operation of international routes. Despite all the challenges of wartime, we are restoring road surfaces where they are most needed,” said Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine/Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
Work is underway, in the following regions, in particular:
