During his working visit to Germany, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Magnus Brunner, Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration of the European Commission.

Oleksiy Chernyshov thanked the European Union for its ongoing financial and political assistance to Ukraine. He also emphasised the significant role of the EU and its member states in providing temporary protection to Ukrainians - since 2022, more than 4.26 million of our citizens have benefited from this opportunity.

The parties also discussed the priorities of the Ministry, including support for Ukrainians abroad and strengthening cooperation with the multimillion Ukrainian diaspora.

"Our goal is to develop joint programmes with the EU countries to create conditions for Ukrainians to return home, including access to housing, employment and social adaptation," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Commissioner and the European partners for their support.
