Ministry of Strategic Industries: Improving radar systems together with Danish arms manufacturers

Within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the Ukrainian Defence Industry Joint Stock Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Danish engineering company Weibel Scientific in the presence of the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Herman Smetanin.

This will strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities and facilitate deeper integration of the national defence industry into the European defence industry and innovation base.

The cooperation between Ukroboronprom and Danish arms manufacturers provides for the possibility of establishing maintenance and repair services for Weibel Scientific advanced radar solutions in Ukraine, joint development of new technologies, creation of a joint venture, and cooperation with educational institutions in Denmark and Ukraine.

Weibel Scientific is a Danish company that develops and manufactures radar systems that use continuous signal emission.

"Denmark has made a great contribution to the Ukrainian defence industry. The first donation to ZBROYARI, the management of frozen russian assets, the ‘Danish model’. But at the same time, we have always seen Denmark as a long-term partner and have sought closer cooperation at the industry level," said Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

The Minister thanked Weibel Scientific for its willingness to cooperate and the Danish government for supporting this cooperation at a high level.

"We appreciate everything you do for us. I am convinced that, for our part, the Ukrainian defence industry will contribute to the defence capability of Denmark," said Herman Smetanin.
