On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov signed a Joint Declaration of Intent to open the first Ukrainian Unity Hub in Berlin with the Head of the German Chancellery, Wolfgang Schmidt, in the presence of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz.

The document was signed between the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community and the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine.

"This is an important step in building institutional support for our citizens abroad. It took only two months from the development of the concept to the signing of the document, and the premises for the hub will be handed over soon. I am grateful to Germany and Olaf Scholz personally for the prompt decisions and effective support," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The official thanked the partners for their support and solidarity. He also expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany and Ambassador Oleksiy Makeev for their active participation in the implementation of this project.

"This opens up new opportunities for strengthening the position of our citizens and ties between states. The Hub will become a place to unite Ukrainians, provide consulting and integration support, and develop cultural and educational initiatives. And those who are ready will be provided with all the necessary assistance to return home," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
