The key objective of the Government of Ukraine on the agenda is to prolong the reforms, which are mostly fundamental, and to ensure the country's sustainable development. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during a meeting with founders and the Board of the Yalta European Strategy "YES". They met with the Head of Government in the framework of the preparation for the YES Annual Meeting scheduled for September.
"I am happy to discuss the real state of affairs in Ukraine and to thank you for what you are doing for our state", said Volodymyr Groysman. "It is critical for us these days to pursue the gradual development of the country as well as the changes that already yield results. In recent years, despite all the challenges and threats, we have managed to lay the foundation of a new Ukraine, do the groundwork, and now we are building up a structure. Together we are building a new country."
In turn, Aleksander Kwasniewski, Chairman of the YES board, emphasized that Ukraine truly demonstrates its commitment to democratic values as well as the course of significant transformations. "We and our partners admit: the first round of presidential elections was held in a transparent and fair manner. No one can question the democratic nature of all the procedures", said Alexander Kwasniewski. "Similarly, we acknowledge your progress and that, in spite of the hard times and challenges, you are committed to the path of reforms and pursue these reforms. Much has been achieved. Many changes have been brought about with your lead. And today it's clear that this advancement should prolong and it is critical to pursue the chosen path."
During the talks the parties discussed the current situation in the economy and the core plans of the Government for the future.
