  • 11 territorial communities will be created in occupied Luhansk region, says Hennadii Zubko

    Luhansk region received a necessary instrument for active development which will be put into practice on the next day after the liberation from the Russian occupation. The issue at stake is road map shaped in synergy with Luhansk civil-military administration for formation of territorial communities in the temporarily occupied territory of  Luhansk region. Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko emphasized while commenting on the Government’s approval of the decree "On amendments to the long-term plan for the formation of territorial communities in Luhansk region".

    "We must demonstrate to citizens who live  in the occupied territory of  Luhansk region and are temporary hostages of Russian aggression, how the Concept of reforming local self-government will be implemented in their region. The reforms which are aimed at developing the country  and consolidating  society will allow to carry out reconstruction of the infrastructure and to ensure a decent future for  people", Hennadii Zubko stressed.

    It should be noted that 22 consolidated territorial communities are  created, 13 of which are waiting for the decision of the Central Election Commission on the appointment of the first elections.
