The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Ukrainian Institute for International Politics. The document was signed on January 27, 2023.
"During the 11 months of war, we have been able to create safe conditions for the organization of the educational process, ensure accessibility and continuity of education in different regions of Ukraine, and regularly help displaced persons and those in need. Ukraine is becoming stronger and more resilient both in military and political terms. However, in order to fully counter russian aggression, we must build a strong, educated and democratic civil society. Together with the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Institute for International Politics, we have embarked on the path to this goal," said First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andrii Vitrenko.
Within the framework of the cooperation, it is planned to conduct educational work and bring Ukrainian society closer to European standards of understanding democracy, to develop a sustainable dialogue on (European) political topics between officials and government representatives in the fields of politics, science, justice, media and civil society at the national, regional and European levels.
In addition, a number of measures are envisaged to strengthen democratic culture through the development of political education in society and building an active dialogue on European values and standards.
