Ministry for Veterans' Affairs coordinates institutional reform in all areas concerning veterans and military personnel

The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs coordinates institutional reform in all areas related to veterans and servicemen. Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina told in an interview with the Voice of America.

"The Government of Ukraine has approved the Strategy for Transition from Military Service to Civilian Life, which stipulates that the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs coordinates institutional reform in all areas affecting veterans and servicemen," she said.

In addition, the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs has a state electronic register of war veterans, which was created with the support of American partners. According to the Minister, the registry is not just a database, but an effective tool that allows relevant ministries and agencies to exchange information when providing certain services to veterans.

"This is done so that veterans do not have to run around for certificates, but can go to the electronic Veteran's Cabinet and find out all the necessary information about their statuses and the social guarantees and services they are entitled to," explained Yulia Laputina.
