Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian farmers have received almost UAH 30 billion in bank loans for farm development. Of these, 4,500 enterprises received UAH 16.6 billion under the state programme Affordable Loans at 5-7-9.

Farmers in the following regions received the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

• Kyiv region - UAH 7 billion;
• Vinnytsia - UAH 3.4 billion,
• Dnipropetrovska - UAH 2.4 billion;
• Kirovohrad - UAH 2.18 billion;
• Odesa - UAH 1.9 billion;

At the same time, the following regions received the largest amount of funds under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme:

Vinnytsia region - UAH 1.81 billion allocated to 571 businesses;

Kirovohrad - UAH 1.8 billion for 657 businesses;

Odesa region - UAH 1.67 billion for 437 businesses;

Kyiv - UAH 1.5 billion for 335 businesses.

Background

The Affordable Loans 5-7-9 programme simplifies access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Agrarians can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and business entity.
