Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity shifts away from fragmented programs, instead building a unified model for supporting IDPs
The needs of internally displaced persons change as they move from crisis to recovery. To ensure support for individuals at each stage, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity is developing a unified model for supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs). Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine Denys Uliutin announced this during the Forum of the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
"We are moving away from fragmented programs and building a unified model for supporting IDPs—from initial contact to full integration into the community. This includes adaptation in the early stages from the moment of evacuation, including necessary medical care, affordable temporary accommodation, supported living mechanisms, affordable housing programs — additional compensation under the eOselia mortgage program, employment programs such as "Prykhystok. Robota," he said.
Denys Uliutin emphasized that work was currently underway on a digital tool—a new platform that would integrate all aspects into a single route for each person, provide comprehensive case management, reduce bureaucracy, and speed up the response of communities.
The Minister called on frontline communities to join in developing the State Policy Strategy on IDPs.
